The worktexts come in five sequential themes, namely
- 1.MYSELF
- 2.MY FAMILY
- 3.MY SCHOOL
- 4.MY COMMUNITY
- 5.THINGS AROUND ME
Each theme has several units and each unit has several lessons. The lessons revolve around the unit and the theme. Every unit is preceded by a CONCEPT WEB with a corresponding ACTIVITY WEB.
The concept web guides the teachers on the different concepts to develop while the activity web suggests the different learning activities to employ. The activities can encompass two or more learning areas such as Math, Science, Language Arts-English and Filipino, Arts, Music and Movement and Social Studies. Learning of concepts is based on activities and learning experiences.
BLOCKS OF TIME have been prepared for each day and lesson as follows:

- 2.Big Group Activities
- 3.Small Group Activities
- 4.Second Meeting Time
- 5.Pack - Away
- 6.Snack Time
- 7.Story Time
- 8.Indoor/Outdoor Activity
- 9.Getting Ready To Go Home
The Whole Group Time or the Big Group Activity is used, as an opportunity to build a sense of community or shared purpose. This is the core or the connecting link that allows the integration process. This is one period wherein each child encounters what others in the group think, say and create, thus, one's own knowledge and understanding grow and change.
